Who We Are

LifeSync Displays ("we", "us", "our") provides a personalized family dashboard service displayed on in-home screens. We are operated by Brett Muller (brett@lifesyncdisplays.com).

What We Collect

We collect only the information necessary to provide your dashboard:

• Google account data — your name, email address, and profile photo from Google Sign-In. We use this to identify your account.
• Google Calendar events — read-only access to display upcoming events on your dashboard. We do not store calendar data beyond the current display session.
• Gmail messages — read-only access to show recent email summaries. We do not store email content.
• Google Tasks — read-only access to display your task list.
• Google Photos — read-only access to display recent family photos on your dashboard. We do not copy or store photos.
• iCloud Calendar and Mail — if you connect iCloud, we access calendar events and email summaries read-only using CalDAV and IMAP. Your iCloud credentials are encrypted at rest.
• Shopping list items — text you enter into the shared shopping list widget. Stored in our database to sync across your household.
• Device heartbeat data — periodic pings from your display device so we can alert you if it goes offline.

How We Use Your Data

• To display information on your household dashboard.
• To send you alerts if your device goes offline.
• To maintain your account and subscription.
• To troubleshoot issues you report to us.

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not share your data with third parties except as required to operate the service (e.g., our hosting provider).

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on servers located in the United States. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (TLS) and at rest. OAuth tokens are stored encrypted. iCloud credentials are encrypted with AES-256.

Access to your data is limited to the system processes that display your dashboard and to Brett Muller for support purposes.

Google API Scopes

We request the following Google API scopes. We use each scope only for the purpose described:

• openid, profile, email — to identify your account.
• calendar.readonly — to display your upcoming calendar events.
• gmail.readonly — to display recent email summaries.
• tasks.readonly — to display your task list.
• photoslibrary.readonly — to display recent family photos on your dashboard.

LifeSync Displays' use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Data Retention

We retain your account data as long as your subscription is active. When you cancel your subscription, we delete your stored tokens and account data within 30 days. Shopping list items are deleted immediately upon account deletion. You may request deletion at any time by emailing brett@lifesyncdisplays.com.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data.
• Revoke Google OAuth access at any time via your Google Account permissions.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be communicated by email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
